Brings Fiber Optics to Youngstown Business Incubator

August 10, 2011 (Youngstown, OH) – DRS, LLC announced today that it is ready to go live with newly installed fiber optic connectivity in the Youngstown Business Incubator. The fiber optic network connection will give tenants access to high speed Internet and connect them to DRS’s data center as well as other cloud computing resources.

“We’ve been working for a number of years to bring high speed fiber optic connectivity directly to Incubator tenants. It is just one more technology service that makes the Youngstown Business Incubator a unique, world class facility,” reports David Wilkeson, DRS Chief Technology Officer.

The project has taken three years to complete and is part of the larger scale plan of the Incubator.

DRS has been working with the Business Incubator for more than 5 years through its “Tech Mentor” program. Developed jointly by DRS and the Incubator, the program offers YBI tenants access to DRS’s expertise in various areas including: online application delivery, IT support, and cloud computing.
