Data Center Operator - 2nd Shift

DRS LLC (http://www.drsllc.net) is an information technology consulting and outsourced data center operations firm. We specialize in network infrastructure, including local area and wide area networks, VoIP solutions, Microsoft Server technologies, Citrix, and storage technologies. We own and operate two state of the art data centers with over 20,000 square feet of space, and provide managed services to a number of SMB customers.

We have an immediate opportunity for a Data Center Technician for our Data Center and Managed Services business units. Normal work hours for this second shift position are Sunday - Thursday, 4:30PM to 1AM, although this schedule may vary.

1-2 years experience working with relevant technologies:

Demonstrated hands-on knowledge of Intel server hardware, and operating systems.
Strong attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to organize cables.
Experience with Cat-5 & Cat-6 Cabling.
Experience with OSI network model.
Experience with LAN and WAN network topologies.
Windows user and Office/Outlook experience.
Ability to speak clearly about technologies at the conceptual level.
Experience with Microsoft Server and Citrix administration a strong plus.
Experience with Cisco switches and routers a strong plus.

REQUIREMENTS

Ability to answer user questions via telephone as well as solve issues remotely
Ability to research hardware and software issues as required
Ability to use power tools such as electric screwdrivers
Evidence of continuing technology self education.
Physically able to lift up to 60lbs.
Highly motivated and self-directed.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Technical certifications are strongly desired.
Valid drivers license and vehicle.

We're looking for a motivated technician looking to significantly increase their skills under the supervision of experienced IT Engineers. In return, we offer a team oriented culture with exciting opportunities for growth. This position is based in our Youngstown, OH data centers, and will involve occasionally driving between the two data centers. Salary commensurate with experience. Senior Microsoft Engineer

Key areas of experience should include:

Proven success in designing, installing and supporting medium and large Microsoft Windows & Exchange environments.
Windows, Active Directory, and group policy troubleshooting.
HP server hardware platforms.
Diverse storage enviroments including DAS, NAS, and SAN.
Success in Citrix infrastructure design a strong plus.
Citrix infrastructure Deployment, Support and Tier 1, 2, and 3 troubleshooting a strong plus.

REQUIREMENTS

A minimum of 5 years experience supporting Windows server environment.
Strong understanding of Windows Server 2000 and 2003.
Strong understanding of Active Directory and GPOs is required.
Good understanding of Network infrastructure (WAN/VPN).
Excellent documentation and communication skills are required.
MCSE certification is strongly desired. CCA or CCEA is a big plus.
Experience as a lead consultant in designing and deploying Windows 2000 and Active Directory projects a big plus.
Excellent technical and interpersonal skills.
